Nowadays a library has come to be regarded as an integral part
of the academic setup of a college, the major aim of which is to
acquire , collect and organise books and other allied reading
materials for use by students and faculty members and thus to
support the teaching programme of the college.
A modern college is a large and complex one. So a proper
acquaintance with its organisation

essential for effective use.
Therefore an attempt has been made in this section to acquaint
the users with the library collection, functional units of the
library and their location, scheme of classification of books,
shelf arrangement in the library and the methodology for using
the library catalogue so as to help them to find out their
desired books and allied reading material in the library.
The Institute has a Library
covering an area of around 53 sq. meters. In addition to
a rich stock of General Books, the Library has 4,042
Volumes and about 812 Titles.
It has a spacious reading room
with all types of National & International leading journals,
periodicals, magazines and newspapers. |
